Detailed description of Montgomery National Golf Club
Montgomery National Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Montgomery, Minnesota.
The course first opened for play in 1970. The course was designed by Joel Goldstrand. Goldstrand returned to Montgomery in 1993 to redesign the course, adding a second 9 and driving range.
Montgomery National GC features water hazards on 8 holes and a design with 18 unique holes to keep even the most experienced players alert. The 18th hole, playing 548 yards uphill is one of the most challenging finishing holes in southern Minnesota
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,540 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,977 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 548 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 14, a par-3 that plays to 171 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 378 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Montgomery National Golf Club is # 14, the 171 yard par-3.

The tees, greens and fairways were in excellent condition at the Montgomery National (MN) Golf Club. The layout of the course is very good with many challenging holes and not 'tricked-up' holes.
